Botswana Safari Tour

We are excited to announce that we have planned an adventurous Botswana safari tour which commences in June 2021. Starting from Cape Town and road-tripping through to the Botswana border, and beyond. We have highlighted just a few of our exciting stops along the way.

Sutherland is about 348km out of Cape Town which is more or less 3 hours 45 minutes away. As Sutherland is best known for stargazing, we will spend the night there and treat ourselves to a cold, but stunning evening enjoying the stars.

The drive up from Cape Town to the Botswana border will take us about 2 days. It is quite a drive, but the sooner we get to Botswana, the sooner the real Botswana adventure begins!

Once we pass through the border we will head through to Khama Rhino. Our next stops include (without giving too much away); Kubu, Makgadikgadi Salt Pans, Moremi, Chobe Game Reserve, and the Central Kalahari Game Reserve.

As it is quite a lengthy trip, we have divided the trip up into 4 parts where you can join along the way, or leave at a certain point of the trip.

South Africa

Traveling from Cape Town to the border and back to Cape Town should take you about 7 nights.

Khama Rhino to Makgadikgadi Salt Pans

From the Botswanian border to the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans should take you about 6 nights.

Moremi and Chobe Game Reserve

This portion of the trip should take about 9 nights.

Central Kalahari Game Reserve

This portion of the trip should take about 8 nights.

This June safari includes meals, park entry fees, accommodation, and two-way radios so we can stay in contact at all times. We can also offer some knowledge of the photography skills we have built up over the past few years – but please note we are by no means professionals. We will teach you a thing or two and will be happy to learn from you as well.

As they say, “there can be no doubt that all our knowledge begins with experience”. In the past, we have found ourselves with some torn-up tires from the sharp rocky roads, stuck in the sand, engine problems – you name it, and there’s a good chance we’ve been through it. However, we have maintained a well-equipped vehicle to withstand nearly everything these wild and wonderful countries have to throw at us.

The trip excludes border crossing fees, drinks, insurance and activities, vehicle hire, and fuel.
